Veteran
Barry's connection to military service is deeply rooted in his family history, with his father having served in World War II. Following this legacy, Barry himself enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for eight years. His service involved assignments in communications and intelligence, taking him to various locations across the Continental U.S., the Pacific, and the Arctic regions. His time in the Air Force provided him with valuable experiences that would later influence his approach to public service.
Public Servant
After his military service and establishing a career as a small business owner, Barry Loudermilk entered public service. He became active in local politics, and was elected Chairman of his local county Republican Party. This led to further involvement, including serving in the Georgia State House of Representatives and the Georgia State Senate. In 2014, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing portions of northwest Georgia. His tenure as a public servant has been marked by a commitment to his constituents and a willingness to address significant challenges, including facing some serious threats; and Barry has always held to his principles and his faith in God to guide him.

Historian
Barry Loudermilk's interest in history, particularly American history and Biblical theology, was significantly influenced by his father. He has dedicated himself to studying America's founding documents and the lives of key figures in American history. This pursuit has established him as a respected voice on the foundations of the United States. Furthermore, he is involved in sharing historical knowledge through his work as an author and inspirational speaker.
